Avi Dove kisses

Yesterday, Avi kissed me with her mouth closed! This is a huge development considering I've been getting open-mouthed, slobbery kisses for the last 6 months. In fact, half the time Avi would kiss me, she would open her mouth and envelope my nose in a wet, gross (yet, equally cute) embrace. But, she has now mastered the closed-lipped kiss on the mouth! What a darling!

Beyond kisses Avi has become the "hugger" of the group. She hugs all her little friends (whether they want it or not)! Sometimes, they just stand there and let her give her little squeeze to them around their neck and shoulders, but sometimes they try to get away - not sure what little Avi is doing... I don't mean to brag - and generally Avi has taken her time to get to milestones, so it thrills me that she is the only baby her age that is hugging other babies. Isn't that a foreshadowing of her peaceful, Dove-like ways? She also hugs Daddy and me with a fierceness. I love it.
