Horse Riding Lessons

Avi is so excited (at least for the first 15-20 minutes then her toddler attention span wanes) for horse riding lessons!

Brushing Jubilee - look how little Avi is!!

 Riding Macy.

I want Millie and Halle to come over.

We probably hear this sentence a few times a day: I want Millie and Halle to come over.  Of course, once they are here - in typical toddler fashion - she often says, I want Millie and Halle to leave.  Neverttheless, they are some of her closest friends right now because they have playdates (i.e. kid swaps so that each parent can have two free afternoons a week)  three times a week.
On a warm October day we set up a sprinkler for the girls to run through.  Millie just watched, but Avi and Halle got all wet.

Daddy and Mila chilling on the grass while Avi plays nearby.

Avi loves to take her friends to the trampoline, too.

Sometimes after a dirty day, they take a bath together.  (For some reason, Millie didn't want to get wet this particular day.)

Other days we go on explorations in the grove.

Photo Shoot!

Avi is now three years old and four months.  Mila is four months.   It's been a while since I brought out my professional camera to do a shoot and I really loved that I did and that I have this gift of capturing the prettiest things in my world.

This is one of my favorites of Avi Dove.  So whimsical yet thoughtful.

Who curls her eyelashes? people ask.  Ha!

Healthy Baby Mila

Look at those thick thighs!  I love baby thighs the best - so much to squeeze and so many rolls!  This is Mila hanging out on the changing table looking up at her favorite mobile.

This expressions cracks me up.  Every so often she will do this sort scared wide eyed look - almost like a cross between she's really impressed and a little worried about you.

Here she is in my favorite hoodie that Avi wore as a baby.  So glad I got to see her wear it!

Chunky thigh!

Super-baby pose! Both my girls did this pose and both always stuck out their right arm and kept the left one bent.

Pumpkin Pickin'

Step 1: get all cuddly in the wagon.

Step 2: mom constantly looks back at infant to make sure she's "okay"

Step 3: walk down the hill to your local pumpkin stand. Smile big along the way!

Step 4: Search, search, search

Step 5: Find not a pumpkin, but Daddy's camera!

Step 6: Smile for photo opportunity!

Step 7: appreciate how mom picked out a sweatshirt the matches the pumpkins

Step 8: Kiss that baby and hold those little feet to warm them up!

Step 9: Give baby photo opportunity!

Step 10: load up wagon and have dad do the pulling UP the hill!

Step 11: Get congratulatory kisses from your father on being such a good pumpkin picker.

Step 12: Continue step 11

Step 13: Smile and reflect.

Step 14: make a new tradition: pick up some bananas while getting your pumpkin!

(Wish I could pick up a chunky cute baby like this every October!)
