Mila Clapping and Crawling!

On the way to Avi's parent participation class one morning when Mila was 10 1/2 months old, Avi said Mila's clapping!  She's clapping! We were listening to the Babel record by Mumford and Sons and sure enough Mila was clapping to the music! Well, we get to school and Mila starts clapping the second the music is sung by the kids! Amazing!  Yesterday she didn't know how to clap and today she can do it on queue!
Avi so proud of her little sister comes to give her a kiss.

Mila started crawling the day after this picture was taken - she's still trying to figure it out here...

Little hands and little feet.

Her clapping hands don't meet perfectly, but everyone knew what she was doing!

March Mila!

9 months old and this baby is cute as ever!
There are sooo many things to love about a baby's body, but one of my favorites is how short the arms are (or how large the head is)!  Look at how her nearly straight arm barely comes to the top of her head!

Mila started eating solids about a month ago.  She LOVES sitting at the table with us and sharing a meal. In fact, the social aspect is just as important to her as the nutritional part, it seems!

She wants to hold her own spoon, but that just spells M-E-S-S!

January 2013

Mila loves her chiropractic appointments - and so does Dr. Marquis!

Shopping at Trader Joe's in piggy pajamas and boots!

Mila's starting to eat "solids" - here a banana through a mesh food bag.

Halle, Millie and Aveah painting - Avi's wearing a helmet!

Aveah playing with her letters on the fridge while Mila eats.

Aveah having fun with doll of the moment "Flowery Cupcake" at Forever 21 clothing store.

Mommy and Avi coffee - Avi's coffe is 80% cream and she still didn't like it!

the newest trend is "styling" your hair after you put the shampoo in!

Everyone reading a book except little Mila!

A new dress from Emily and a handmade cloth cube for Mila!

A picture of Mommy Maren by Aveah Dove!

I got the flu for the first time in years and it was a horrible 3 days! The worst part: not getting to see my children or hold them (even though I was in the house - I was just too exhausted to get out of bed).  Gee, I missed them!

Thankfully, my beautiful Mila didn't get the flu despite having to come around me every few hours to breastfeed.  I swear I lost 5 pounds after not eating and still breastfeeding for 3 days!  So glad I could care for my girl, though!

Mila's passport photo session!
