October 2012

Here's random life moments from October 2012...  xoxo

Grampy Alan getting Avi ready for bed.  She LOVED that he read her a book!

Michael might be the coolest daddy ever!  He made Avi a newpaper hat - I don't even know how to do this!

Mimi got a bunch of pumpkins and let Avi pick one for her and one for Mila.  Guess which is Mila's?

Dancing with Daddy.

This happens to me all the time!  Whenever I lay on the ground to be at Avi's level, the sleep bug comes and bites me, and I find myself falling asleep...  I caught Michael doing the same.  It's so cute how he's snuggling with the Letter "S"

Happy Mila!  You are a constant source of joy to us all!

An afternoon at Marisol happy hour - we are blessed! Fred spinning Millie.

Michael letting Mila "fly" at Marisol.

We went to a outdoor family music concert and they gave all the kids these pretzel necklaces.  What a great idea - Avi loved hers!

Mila playing with one of her favorite chew toys.

Avi between Lois and Gail at an event at Growing Grounds.  I wanted to go to this but wanted some help with Avi since I had Mila so I sent an email to the community asking if anyone wanted to go as Avi's aunt or uncle and carpool.  Well, Avi got two "aunts" that day - thanks coho aunties!

At the Growing Grounds event there was this guy playing live music.  Well, Avi just walked up to him and asked if he could sing the "Winnie the Pooh" song.  He said he didn't know it but asked if she could sing it.  She didn't know it either, but she said she could sing The Itsy Bitsy Spider song.  So, he gave her the mic and she sang that song about 3-4 times in front of a group of about 35-50 people!  Amazing!  (Her foreheads  a little dirty here from taking a tour of the farm earlier with "auntie" Lois.)

Treats with Macy and Kendall

One morning while Michael and I were brushing our teeth in the bathroom, Avi calls out from the playroom, "I made a seven."  She used some of her stacking toys to make it - this was her first "written" number/letter.  Cool!

Avi is now taking lessons from a woman named Melanie who has a pool in her backyard that is heated to 90 degrees. Avi LOVES swimming there!

One of the afternoons we watch Halle, Avi and Millie play together.

Avi is so sweet to her little sister: if Mila starts to cry, Avi tells her "Shhh, shhh, it's okay little Sissy," just like I would comfort Mila.  Avi really takes on the care role really sincerely and naturally.

We got a hand-me-down slide from the Horvaths.  Avi slides down it, climbs up it and jumps from it - she loves it all around!

made i spy jars for a toddler busy bag exchange

Had a lovely dinner at Dan and Sarah's garden.  Thanks!

Baby Mila and Baby Juniper - just 2.5 months apart.

She's happy!

But Mila was not happy in the car.  Here were are stopped in the middle of nowhere to give Mila reprieve from the long car ride.  In the 5 hour trip from the Delta, Mila slept about 20 minutes!  This is the trip she learned to use her pacifier.
