Avi's new bed

When we first had Avi, we equated crib with cage.  We thought we could never put her in a cage, but after 8 months of co-sleeping, we realized she is just like her father:  a VERY light sleeper.  Seriously, we would just roll over in bed, and it would wake her up.  If I open the door to her room, she will stir.  Strange, because her mom can sleep through a small parade.
So, after a year of sleeping in a pack-n-play crib, we finally got her a new bed from IKEA.  She really liked it from the first day.  When we put her to bed at night, she usually reaches down towards the crib and wants to be "tuck in, tuck in".  She sleeps with her 3 favorite stuffed animals, a 2 blankets.  Some nights or naps she will ask for a book to sleep with, and she will grab it and pull it under the covers with her.
When she wakes up in the morning, she likes to wake up slowly, hanging out with her animals for a while before she calls out for us.
We are thrilled to say, that Avi is finally, finally, finally sleeping through the night!  The first 14 months of her life she woke up 3-8 times a night, from 14-18 months 1-3 times a night. This is written for my children to remember all that we did for them as little babies in the wee hours of the morning (and to explain to everyone else the blue/black circles under our eyes).

Let me in!
